Host a Pop-Up Event

Want to get your feet wet with Threads for Teens? Host a pop-up event! This type of event requires the least amount of commitment and promises a great measurable impact. With the Threads for Teens team’s help, you will organize a pop-up boutique in your community, where 30 – 75 at-risk teen girls receive a new outfit. We help by supplying clothing, providing advice, and administering a small seed grant.

Leanna from Hawaii, held an event on her home island of Kauai where about fifty girls received a new outfit. For several months, she planned her event by securing a donated space, soliciting local clothing donations, organizing goal-setting workshops, and scheduling girls to visit.

Perhaps there will be a back-to-school event in August and prom dress distribution in February. The club holds great autonomy to determine its structure.
